In Line Pump
In Line Pump
It is an oldest diesel fuel enjection pump. It was firstly introduced to the market by Bosch in 1927. Today it is used on heavy vehicles. There is a ''pump unit'' in a line pump kind which produces pressure for per cylinder of the diesel engine.
All the kind of line pump of Bosch bases on the same working principle and design. Each engine cylinder has maximum 12 unit pistons and its own pump unit which composed by an unit cylinder. In order to force to get the fuel out from the pump, the unit piston in the pressure is to open upward by the pump eccentric shaft and it is forced to turn back by piston spring. If it uses mechanic regulation (regulator weighted), the fuel amount can be arranged from the each cylinder as a function of the engine fastness and load by the help of the rack gear and piston helix.
